First Person

Greg Rothman, CEO of a digital start-up that aims to create an online marketplace to enable students to find off-campus housing options with more convenience and ease. 
2) Which 'slot' you are filling with each person (i.e., domain expert, market expert, supplier), and how the person fills the spot.
Domain expert, as he is familiar with the idea of a service-based digital platform with premium options.
3) A description of how you found the person and contacted the person.
I interned for him previously, I reached out. 
4) The nature of the exchange you have with the person -- what favor did they do for you? What is the return expectation?
I asked him for advice on the app, likely expects me to be open to possibly helping him out someday. 
5) How will including this person in your network enhance your ability to exploit an opportunity?
Drawing from his experience will allow me to make better, more informed decisions when marketing and creating this app to fill the needs of my target market. 


Second Person

Jonno Rushbrook, head of social media for Perfect Keto. 
2) Which 'slot' you are filling with each person (i.e., domain expert, market expert, supplier), and how the person fills the spot.
Market expert, as he has experience working for a company targeting my market with similar services - food that is targeting specific existing dietary needs and lifestyles.    
3) A description of how you found the person and contacted the person.
Linkedin, messaged. 
4) The nature of the exchange you have with the person -- what favor did they do for you? What is the return expectation? 
I asked him for some advice, may want some assistance down the line.
5) How will including this person in your network enhance your ability to exploit an opportunity?
Provide me insight with working in the foodservice industry to meet customer needs. 

Third Person
1) Who they are and what their background is.
Josh Mclaughlin, senior manager of supply chain capabilities at Whole Foods. 
2) Which 'slot' you are filling with each person (i.e., domain expert, market expert, supplier), and how the person fills the spot.
Supplier, as he would be familiar with how to contact and establish an arrangement with suppliers. 
3) A description of how you found the person and contacted the person.
Linkedin, messaged. 
4) The nature of the exchange you have with the person -- what favor did they do for you? What is the return expectation? 
I asked him for advice on the app development and supplier ideas, unlikely for him to ask for something in exchange. 
5) How will including this person in your network enhance your ability to exploit an opportunity?
Allow me to understand from someone with experience the best ways to establish supply partnerships.

This experience differed quite a lot from my networking experience in the past, as it was much more targeted and for individuals that have much more experience and career longevity. It provided me with insight into the types of people one needs to reach out to and consider when needing insight from an individual with more experience.
